This painting was inspired by nostalgia and the tender emotions that often come with remembering.

Nostalgia has a quiet way of returning us to moments, people, or places that once meant so much. It can feel warm and comforting, but also bittersweet, carrying both the beauty of what was and the sadness of knowing it now lives only in memory. It reminds us of how deeply certain experiences have stayed with us, long after they have passed.

I chose a European robin for this piece because it felt like a gentle symbol of nostalgia. There is something soft and familiar about its presence that made it feel connected to memory and reflection. To me, the robin carries a sense of warmth and quiet emotion, like a small reminder of the moments we hold close in our hearts.

With this painting, I wanted to capture nostalgia in a soft and meaningful way. This piece is a reminder that memories, even when bittersweet, can still be beautiful, and that the feelings tied to them become part of who we are.
